Angels fans set yet another world record, this time by wearing capes
Quick: Which baseball fanbase holds the most world records? While I have not researched this question enough to say definitively, early evidence points to fans of the Angels. Friday night, the Angels tasked their fans with setting their third world record in two seasons. In 2016, they set certified Guinness World Records for the largest group of people using selfie sticks and for most umbrellas opened in a confined space.
They started off the 2017 world record season with a successful attempt at setting the coveted "Most Capes Worn at One Time" record.
The Angels gave out capes to all 40,176 fans in attendance for their 13-inning affair with the Blue Jays and, in the fifth inning, they all donned their promotional capes to set the world record. They, of course, includes the Angels broadcast team:
Even the grounds crew participated in the festivities. They're blurry because their capes make them too fast for photography:

Not all heroes wear capes, but surely all who wear capes are heroes. As of Friday night, the Angels have over 40,000 heroes cheering for their team.
