A's Draft pick JJ Schwarz celebrated by wearing his old Oakland tee ball shirt -- and it fit, kind of
In the eighth round of the 2018 MLB Draft, the A's selected JJ Schwarz, a catcher on the Florida Gators who can mash the baseball (he ranks in the school's Top 10 in homers and RBIs). It's the third time he's been selected in the Draft, after the Brewers and Rays both picked him in previous years.
Schwarz is an intriguing pick for the A's for another reason: Should he end up in an A's uniform as a Major Leaguer in the future, it won't be the first time he'll suit up in the green and gold, as he pointed out on Twitter:
Super excited to be back in the @Athletics uniform!! Looks like God was dropping me hints in tee ball 17 years ago😂 #tbt pic.twitter.com/pjsVbJ9Awm

Don't worry, JJ. You won't have to wear that old one anymore:
We'll have some larger sizes available for you 😂 https://t.co/87muyI1Fsr
