This pitch was so wild it somehow ended up in the lap of a fan behind home plate

There are plenty of reasons to sit right behind home plate at a Major League game: getting an up-close view of big league pitching, assisting the umpire with balls and strikes, strategic dabbing. Having a chance at a souvenir, though, isn't one of them -- between the catcher and the protective netting, the odds of a baseball finding you are extremely slim. 
Unless, of course, you were this lucky Blue Jays fan during Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Reds. 

Cincy reliever Wandy Peralta didn't just uncork a wild pitch -- he threw a pitch so wild that it sailed past catcher Tucker Barnhart, kicked off the top of the billboard behind home plate and sailed up and over the netting and into the first row. Which may not be the greatest baseball strategy, but is a great way to win the H-O-R-S-E competition he has going with Aaron Nola:
