Cody Bellinger hit his first homer of Spring Training -- and it nearly sailed out of the entire ballpark
Cody Bellinger put on a power show last season, coasting to the National Legaue Rookie of the Year Award after reaching 21 homers in the fewest games of any rookie ever (51). He hit 'em high, and he hit 'em far.
He has a reputation, now, for doing just that -- though he hadn't yet hit one this Spring Training prior to Thursday's game with the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark. With Bellinger leading off the second inning, and milliseconds after Jerry Hairston Jr. and John Hartung of Sportsnet LA joked about how he could probably hit it entirely out of the stadium ... he very nearly did:
Welcome back, Cody.
