Cubs organist Gary Pressy sings 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' to mark 2,400th consecutive game
The seventh-inning stretch is a hallmark of the Wrigley Field experience. The Cubs often welcome old friends and celebrity fans to the booth to lead the crowd in "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." It's one of the game's longest-lasting traditions.
As far as the Friendly Confines are concerned, every single game for nearly the past 30 years has also featured the work of organist Gary Pressy. That's right -- he's as much a staple of Wrigley Field as the ivy itself. Remarkably, Monday night's 5-0 win by Chicago over the Marlins marked Pressy's 2,400th consecutive game.
Looking forward to celebrating a milestone tonight.

Yes, you read that correctly. Pressy has been behind the organ at the stadium for every single game since 1987. That's impressive.
To mark the occasion, Pressy sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" himself on Monday, and it was a great moment:
When it's your 2,400th consecutive game, you play AND lead the 7th inning stretch. Congrats, @GaryPressy!https://t.co/09UTNn1xpS

Earlier in the day, Pressy also shared some insight about his time in the booth over the years, such as his all-time win/loss record:
Going into my 2,400th consecutive game, my record:

And his favorite specific events to cover:

He even joined the WSCR radio booth for part of their broadcast of Monday's game:
