Daniel Mengden received a package in the mail with an unexpected message on it
You may already know A's pitcher Daniel Mengden as the guy with the glorious mustache, but he's also been one of the most effective pitchers for Oakland since the middle of the 2017 season. In Mengden's last start, he pitched eight solid innings at home against the White Sox, earning his second win of the season. Whoever delivered his mail the next day was clearly watching:

Here are some other highlights from baseballers on social media over the last week...
In our latest installment of "Baseball stars -- they're just like us!," we bring you Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons, who took to Twitter to debate the functionality of a certain kitchen appliance:
When you set the timer on the oven, does the oven turn off automatically along with timer? #LateNightBets

Hunter Pence encountered an age-old dilemma, and he was not thrilled about it:

What's cooler than being cool? Being Adeiny Hechavarría:

Dylan Cease is the No. 5 prospect in a loaded White Sox system, and is off to a great start this season with Class A Advanced Winston-Salem. His future is bright. But Cease is thinking bigger than the big leagues -- he's thinking billionaires:
If I was really smart I think @elonmusk and I could have a lot of good inside jokes.

Like the rest of us, Brandon McCarthy was similarly in awe of Bartolo Colon's bid for perfection on Sunday Night Baseball, but he was also a bit concerned about Bart's pitch count:
Banister will be nervous about Bartolo’s pitch count soon. Anything more than 300 and he’ll risk not pitching in his 50s.

Padres pitching prospect Cal Quantrill is known for his skills on the mound, but he believes he could be the next #PitcherWhoRakes ... if he wasn't so respectful of his elders:
Get your bat ready @cal_quantrill47, 154 is the number to beat. pic.twitter.com/DhmGDbyylD

Would just be rude to take a fellow Stanford Cardinal and Padre’s homerun title otherwise I’d definitely do it https://t.co/fQrgPDpEmC

Pitchers hitting in the big leagues isn't always pretty. Pitchers hitting in the Minor Leagues can be even more troubling, as Braves prospect Touki Toussaint learned this week:
Still laughing at this swing from Touki Toussaint on an unfair Zack Brown curve last night. #Shuckers pic.twitter.com/XNX53FG9XK

Looks like I got a sword in my hands ⚔️😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️ https://t.co/Rv8IHlmyKC
— Touki Toussaint (@ToukiToussaint) April 14, 2018
Although, as Mariners prospect Braden Bishop pointed out, it's good for Toussaint to experience the other side of the coin:
Taste it. That’s what you get for bullying hitters 😂😂

And finally, former reliever Joba Chamberlain reminisced about being teammates with Yoenis Céspedes and his glorious 52 chain:
