Home-plate umpire emphatically rings up Jose Reyes, realizes it was only strike two

While we're all grateful to have actual baseball back in our lives, we also understand that Spring Training will be a little, er, sloppy at times. Jerseys get forgotten. Outfielders execute belly flops.
And the same holds true for umpires. After all, they have to get back in the swing of things too -- it's been a while since they've had to determine safe or out, call balls and strikes or, in the case of home-plate umpire Chris Segal during Monday's Mets-Astros game, keep track of the count:

Say what you will, but you have to respect the effort to cover up the initial emphatic strike three -- the improvisational ability is in midseason form.
