Jason Kipnis and Francisco Lindor sure are having a good time, aren't they?
With their 4-2 win in ALCS Game 3, the Indians are one win away from their first trip to the World Series in 19 years and looking for their first championship since 1948. Up 3-0 on the Blue Jays following their sweep of the Red Sox, they haven't lost yet this postseason. Even when their starter leaves after pitching just two-thirds of an inning with a bloody pinkie, the Indians still win. Would you believe that they're having a really, really good time?
Exhibit A: After Jose Bautista led off the third inning with a single, Jeff Manship got three straight popouts, the last of which flew high to the right side of second base, directly over Jason Kipnis. But Francisco Lindor, who'd shown off some of his exemplary defense the inning prior, decided he'd rather make the out, thank you very much.
And thus, Kipnis was chagrined:
Yes, they're having some fun these days in the Cleveland infield. After all, those are the kinds of antics a team enjoys when it's on the textbook definition of a roll.
Watch Lindor and Kipnis try to keep the fun going in ALCS Game 4 on Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET on TBS and Sportsnet/RDS.
