The Mets welcomed Jeurys Familia back with a ride in the bullpen cart

(Chesterton, Eric)

So far this offseason, the Mets have made some big moves to strengthen their bullpen. First, they traded for 2018 All-Star and saves leader Edwin Díaz. On Friday, they signed Jeurys Familia to a three-year contract.
But neither of those moves was the biggest bullpen development the Mets unveiled this offseason. On Monday, they welcomed Familia back to New York by taking him for a ride in a shiny new Mets bullpen cart:

As Familia gets into the cart, general manager Brodie Van Wagenen suggests that he take it for a spin when coming out of the bullpen during the regular season. That sounds like a pretty good idea!
