Josh Harrison was a good son and homered at his mom's command

The Pirates had a fantastic game on Tuesday night, as they defeated the Reds, 12-3. It's safe to say that no one was happier about the victory than Josh Harrison and his family.
A Cincinnati native who went to college there as well, Harrison's family still lives in the area, and they were in attendance on Tuesday. So it was courteous for Harrison to put on a show for them by clubbing a three-run homer.

Harrison was simply listening to what his mother told him. He had crushed two homers the previous night, so she was asked about what was behind his recent power surge. Bonita Harrison said, "I told him today, 'Just do it again.' Let [the family] know what they're missing."
Mother knows best.
As Harrison told MLB.com's Adam Berry, he enjoys showing off for his family anyway, having now homered five times in 30 career games at Great American Ball Park. "It's always nice to be back home," he said. "Get to sleep in your own bed, see some family and friends and get to do what I love."

Of course, if Harrison always performs so well for his family, then the Pirates might want to look into hiring his mother as a coach. Hey, the "hit a home run" advice worked for Mr. Burns and Darryl Strawberry, anyway!
