Josh Reddick made a leaping catch at the wall, and this time he made sure he held on
Josh Reddick's running catch turned into a gifted home run to Jackie Bradley Jr. during Game 3 of the Astros' matchup with the Red Sox in the ALDS. Though he more than made up for it by driving in the go-ahead run in Houston's series-clinching victory in Game 4, he made sure he wasn't going to give away another dinger in Saturday's Game 2 of the American League Championship Series presented by Camping World.
In the top of the third inning, Yankees DH Chase Headley smashed a line drive to right field. Reddick raced back and leaped to make the grab. Though it seemed like the ball would likely have bounced off the top of the wall, Reddick was taking no chances on this one popping out of his glove and he made sure to make the grab with two hands:
But that wasn't the only highlight on the play. After all, there was the blonde Conan O'Brien:
The guy trying to turn his Astros fan into a Yosemite Sam mustache:
And this guy who may have been ready to make the catch, but was more likely a supplicant before the altar of baseball:
Reddick also wasn't done making good plays this inning. Brett Gardner laced a double into right, but Reddick teamed up with Carlos Correa to nail the Yankees outfielder at third base to end the inning.
