Keon Broxton paid tribute to Adrian Beltre by hitting a dinger from one knee

One prominent theory of epistemology -- the study of knowledge -- is that knowledge is built and advanced by standing on the shoulders of giants. Though Isaac Newton may have finalized a theory of optics, he depended upon Rene Descartes' philosophizing on the nature of color.
Keon Broxton may have hit a homer from one knee in the fifth inning of Thursday night's game against the Cardinals, but he might not have even thought to do it had Adrian Beltre not come before him. As you can see, the similarity is striking.

While it may be more appropriate to say that Broxton was kneeling on the shoulders of giants, it is indisputable that the influence of Beltre's signature move undergirds this dinger.
