Max Scherzer was more than happy to be pitching in an AL park during the Stanley Cup Finals

While the debate surrounding whether the DH should be uniform in both leagues rages on among fans, Max Scherzer enjoyed his night off from hitting as an NL pitcher starting in an AL park -- but not for the reasons you might expect. It wasn't that Scherzer was glad he didn't have to hit because he doesn't like hitting -- he just wanted to watch the Washington Capitals compete in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Here are some other highlights from our favorite baseballers over the last week on social media:
John Axford and the Blue Jays bullpen may have a future in couples therapy:

It seems unlikely that Brady Rodgers' son will be able to give a great scouting report of his dad from that day, but at least he was in attendance:

Forget "is a hot dog a sandwich?" -- D-backs Minor League pitcher Jake Winston brought a whole new hot dog take to the table:

Mets Minor League outfielder Bryce Brentz and Angels reliever Noé Ramirez were teammates in the Red Sox organization from 2012 to 2017, but apparently that wasn't enough for Ramirez to give Brentz the vaunted follow back. Now in new organizations, Ramirez is apparently ready to reconnect, and Brentz was thrilled:

There was some debate regarding which Cardinals infielder had the superior hops:

The Phillies had a road series in Los Angeles. Hollywood + Odubel Herrea = wonderful Instagram photos:
