Miguel Cabrera celebrated NCAA Selection Sunday by pretending to shoot a hoop
Sunday is an important day for college basketball, as the NCAA holds its annual Selection Sunday to announce the 68 teams that will play in the 2018 Men's Basketball Tournament. Baseball was in action, too, and during the Tigers' afternoon game against the Braves, Miguel Cabrera made his own small tribute to the day's events.
In the bottom of the second, the Braves had two men on and one out in a scoreless game against Francisco Liriano. The lefty managed to work out of the inning by getting Christian Colon to bounce into a 6-4-3 double play, which Cabrera celebrated by throwing the baseball back like he was shooting hoops:
Miggy's got hops.
As a bonus, Cabrera had a "triple-double" of his own by clearing the bases in the bottom of the third on a three-run double:
It's just that time of the year, and Cabrera loves it.
Basketball is my other favorite sport 🏀✌ https://t.co/niIAOTfhvi- Miguel Cabrera (@MiguelCabrera) March 11, 2018
