Watch as Cards prospect Dakota Hudson gets taken out of the game so he can go to the Majors

Usually, when you're a pitcher out on the mound and a coach or manager starts walking toward you, you've done something wrong. Maybe you gave up a grand slam, maybe you've walked like seven batters in a row and maybe, just maybe, it's time you come out of this game. It's not a very happy moment.

That is, unless you were Cardinals No. 4 prospect Dakota Hudson over the weekend. His Triple-A Memphis manager took him out of the game ... so he could go to the Major Leagues:

The manager, Stubby Clapp, apparently took the ball from Hudson and then gave him a new one that said, "This is your call."

So, what did Hudson do in his big league debut? He tossed a scoreless seventh inning in Saturday's win over the Cubs, striking out two of the three batters he faced.
