New year, same Gary Sanchez: Yankees phenom unleashes BP blast off scoreboard
Gary Sanchez was other-worldly in his rookie season with the Yankees last year. He hit 20 homers in 201 at-bats (11 of those coming in a 15-game stretch), he compiled an absurd 1.032 OPS and he nearly dinger'd during an INTENTIONAL WALK.
So, it comes as no surprise that during one of his first Spring Training BP sessions, the 24-year-old uncorked a mammoth blast off the George M. Steinbrenner Field scoreboard:
Yes, Joe, that's a far one.
Sure, it's only February and during batting practice, but it's never not fun to see a Gary Sanchez dinger. The catcher kindly promised us many more.
Just getting warmed up. / Apenas estamos calentando. https://t.co/89flQqfRmT- Gary Sanchez (@ElGarySanchez) February 16, 2017
