A rabbit crashing a Minor League team's Bark in the Park Day almost caused a hare-y situation

It has been over 75 years since Hall of Famer Rabbit Maranville last stepped on a professional field, but that's not stopping his brethren from payingvisitslately. During Sunday afternoon's game between the Quad Cities River Bandits and the Clinton LumberKings, another bunny decided to pay the baseball diamond a visit.
Never mind the fact that Easter was last Sunday and it happened to be Bark in the Park Day at Modern Woodmen Park.

The rabbit showed some pretty impressive form! Maranville stole 291 bases back in his day, and this one shows some strong potential, too.

Very similar abilities to the rabbit at PNC Park last season.

As outfielder Ronnie Dawson relayed to MiLB.com's Michael Leboff, he wasn't sure how well the rabbit's appearance would go over with all the canines around. "Once I saw the rabbit, I thought we were going to see a bunch of dogs get onto the field to chase the rabbit. I was hoping none of my teammates were afraid of dogs," Dawson said.
Thankfully, the rabbit got out of Dodge before anything could happen. No word on where rabbits will turn up next in the Minors, but odds are that it won't be Albuquerque.
