Carlos Gomez showed off some fresh Superman cleats before hitting a home run

It's a well-established fact that one's apparel has a profound influence on athletic performance. If you don't look good, you can't play good (sic). It is known.
Rangers center fielder Carlos Gomez certainly did not have to worry about his aesthetic choices negatively impacting his performance Tuesday night against the Blue Jays. He strode up to the plate rocking a pair of cleats that should make everyone else on the field jealous.

Superman had nothing on Gomez early in the game as he hit a solo home run in his first at-bat of the night.

There should be no need for any further proof that looking fresh makes you a better player.
