Ross Stripling relates to Soulja Boy on a spiritual level

(Hunter Martin)

Sometimes, words of wisdom can come from an unexpected place. In the case of Dodgers All-Star pitcher Ross Stripling, it is unlikely that he went about his week with the expectation that the words that would mean the most to him would come from the Twitter account of rapper Soulja Boy. But this wasn't just any week -- and these weren't just any words.

Soulja Boy was clearly watching during last year's Players Weekend when Stripling took the mound in a beautiful Dodgers uniform with "CHICKEN STRIP" across the back.

Here are some other highlights from baseballers on social media over the last week...
The Blue Jays are in Seattle for a weekend series, and new Mariner Sam Tuivailala wanted to make sure he caught up with Toronto outfielder and former St. Louis teammate Randal Grichuk:

Chipper Jones was officially inducted into Cooperstown, but veteran Brewers pitcher Tim Dillard couldn't quite understand why:

Mariners prospect Josh Stowers had a funny way of describing his teammate Bobby Honeyman during a recent hot streak:

Padres prospect Logan Allen found some hilarious footage of fellow talented Minor Leaguer Buddy Reed running the 60-yard dash at a high school showcase:

Allen wasn't the only player that loved it:

Twins pitcher José Berríos very much appreciated his catcher Bobby Wilson framing a certain pitch:

White Sox top prospect Eloy Jiménez had some fun with his Minor League team's mascot:

No one enjoys using filters on their teammates more than Ozzie Albies with his fellow young superstar Ronald Acuña Jr.:
