The Royals won their series against the Blue Jays thanks to their new friend, the rally mantis

Let's examine the evidence. The Royals hosted the Blue Jays at Kauffman Stadium for a three-game series this weekend. They dropped Friday's game, 4-3. Toronto led again early on Saturday, until Billy Burns was visited by what is quite possibly the largest bug to ever roam the earth:

The Royals went on to win that game, 4-2. But maybe the praying mantis didn't have anything to do with it. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

The Royals won handily on Sunday, topping the Blue Jays, 7-1. And guess who was there?

Watch the video above for all of the mantis' rally-inducing exploits on Sunday, including an up-close-and-personal moment with the cameraman.
