Shark sighting in the Bay: San Jose stars toss first pitch for A's, take in Tim Lincecum's Angels debut

The A's game with the Angels at the Coliseum on Saturday was a supremely Bay Area affair. 
Not only was longtime Giants ace Tim Lincecum making his debut with the Halos, but members of the San Jose Sharks traded their skates and teal jerseys for custom A's home whites and a ceremonial group first pitch before the game.

Part of their visit included a chat with A's manager Bob Melvin, a Bay Area product himself: 

San Jose may have lost the Stanley Cup Final in six games to the Pittsburgh Penguins, but for fans in the Bay Area their playoff run was a thrill unlike any they'd seen yet. After all, it was the franchise's first trip to the Final, and they took down their nemesis, the Los Angeles Kings, en route to the matchup with Pittsburgh. 
As such, the Sharks' visit on Saturday was a toast to their remarkable season, with a quartet of players -- Logan Couture, Martin Jones, Barclay Goodrow, Brenden Dillon and Justin Braun, specifically -- lining up, three of them tossing pitches to Sean Doolittle, John Axford and Liam Hendriks.

Shark sightings have been prevalent over the past couple of weeks, with Joe Thornton and some of his teammates also showing up at a Pirates game during the Final, but Saturday's was a truly Bay Area-centric affair.
