The Indians' Spring Training trucks include over 10,000 baseballs and 72 tubs of bubblegum
It's February, which means baseball will take place this month! The offseason is finally winding down, and as interesting as the winter has been, we are ready for baseball things to start happening.
The teams are preparing for Spring Training with one of the best "holidays" of the offseason: Truck Day. This is when the process of loading the club's trucks begins -- and, on Thursday, we got some details on what the Indians are hauling down to Goodyear, Ariz.
According to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian, the club's truck consists of over 10,000 baseballs (naturally) and a lot of bubblegum and sunflower seeds:
The Indians said, among other things, the trucks included:— Jordan Bastian (@MLBastian) February 1, 2018
+72 tubs of Dubble Bubble
+144 boxes of seeds (BBQ, Ranch, Dill Pickle, Kettle Roast, Original)
+864 dozen baseballs (10,368)
