Josh Donaldson went on The Weather Channel to discuss his nickname and annoying rain delays

As is becoming a tradition for American League MVPs, Josh Donaldson took some time during Blue Jays Spring Training in Dunedin, Fla., on Tuesday morning to make a virtual visit to The Weather Channel and talk a bit about the upcoming release of MLB The Show 2016 -- and, of course, the weather.
Donaldson's chat with TWC's Jim Cantore revealed two things:
1. His nickname/Twitter handle "Bringer of Rain" does not actually have anything to do with home runs hit so high they produce rainfall. The third baseman admitted to pulling it from the TV show "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," probably because he fashions himself something of a gladiator (or a Viking, at least).
2. One of his worst weather-related baseball experiences came last season, when rain delayed a doubleheader against the Yankees and Donaldson was stuck at the ballpark from "10 o'clock in the morning 'til 1 o'clock in the morning." Considering the doubleheader itself was a result of a rainout two days prior, that's a lot of delays -- though, for what it's worth, Toronto did sweep both of those games.
Watch the clip above for Donaldson's full interview, including his favorite new feature in The Show.
