Help Bring Junior Giants to Life
Junior Giants Ambassadors serve alongside local organizations to help provide a meaningful summer experience for thousands of young people. Through hands-on service, Ambassadors strengthen programs in their communities while gaining valuable professional experience.
Applications for the 2027 Junior Giants Ambassador Program will open in December 2026.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Junior Giants AmeriCorps Ambassadors serve as the connection between the Giants Community Fund and local organizations operating Junior Giants leagues throughout Northern and Central California.
Each Ambassador works closely with local league leadership to support registration, communication and day-to-day program operations. Ambassadors also help deliver Junior Giants programming focused on character development, health, education and bullying prevention.
Toward the end of the season, Ambassadors assist with surveys and other data collection that help the Giants Community Fund understand the program’s impact and continue improving the Junior Giants experience.
THE AMBASSADOR EXPERIENCE
Junior Giants AmeriCorps Ambassadors complete a 300-hour service term during the spring and summer. Most Ambassadors serve approximately 25–35 hours per week while Junior Giants leagues are in season.
AmeriCorps Ambassadors receive:
A living allowance during their service term
An education award upon successful completion of service
Training and ongoing professional development
Hands-on experience supporting a community-based youth program
Opportunities to build relationships with nonprofit, recreation and sports professionals
