For a young player, a glove is more than a piece of equipment.
It’s the moment they step onto the field ready to participate.
It’s the confidence to raise their hand for the ball.
It’s the feeling that they belong on the team.
For many of the children we serve, that first glove is what makes the difference between watching the game and playing it.
That’s why the Junior Giants Glove Drive matters.
Returning on Saturday, April 25, we’re excited to once again rally Giants fans to give the gift of a glove. More than half of our 28,000 Junior Giants players will step on the field this summer without one of their own. You can help us change that.
This year, the Glove Drive will be held in conjunction with Brandon Belt Day at Oracle Park. With a $30 donation online or in the ballpark, fans will receive this year’s commemorative pin, and a Junior Giant will receive a brand-new leather glove—giving them the chance to play.
