- Not all requests can be approved, including requests that do not meet eligibility requirements.
- The program is not intended to serve as a pension, long-term income source, or replacement for employment income.
Documents Requested (if applicable):
- 2024 Income Tax Return
- Most recent pay stub
- 2025 Social Security Benefits Letter
- Unemployment Benefits Letter
- Medical Report/Notes
- Bank Statement(s)
- Additional information or documents may be requested by the Grant Committee

A. Addiction recovery treatment
B. Food & household necessities
C. Housing
D. Medical expenses
E. Funeral expenses
F. Health insurance & prescriptions
What to Expect from the Process
- Every situation is unique, and our review process is designed to be fair, thoughtful and confidential.
- Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Decisions are made by independent grant committees.
- Approved grant amounts vary based on individual need and available resources.
- Complete applications are processed more efficiently.
- Providing requested documentation upfront helps avoid delays.
- Clear and thorough explanations of needs are helpful during the review process.
- Past assistance does not guarantee future assistance.
- Applicants may re-apply if circumstances change.
- If we are unable to provide assistance, we may suggest other resources within or outside of B.A.T.
- B.A.T. has the right to deny any application or terminate any previously awarded grant where a grant application is found not to have been completed by the individual seeking assistance or to have included false information.
