A.J. Hinch caught some of Brad Peacock's warmup pitches proving he's still got it

(David J. Phillip)

Before A.J. Hinch was calling the shots as the Astros manager, he was spending time behind the plate as a Major League catcher. On Friday night as the Astros hosted the Blue Jays, he relived those years.
Brad Peacock was on the mound warming up in between innings while catcher Brian McCann was putting his gear on. According to Astros field host Julia Morales, Hinch caught some of Peacock's pitches … and he seemed very comfortable behind the dish.

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus also did something similar last seasontaking a few pitches from a guy who knows a thing or two about pitching … Justin Verlander.
Hinch, a seven-year veteran, boasted a .219/.280/.356 line and hit 32 balls over the fence, and by the looks of it, he can still hang.
