Dillon Peters made a terrific diving catch on a bunt for his first career putout

The Marlins called Dillon Peters up from Double-A earlier this month, and so far, he has made a strong early impression on his team. He threw six innings of two-run ball on Tuesday night against the Phillies and now has a 2.50 ERA over his first three Major League starts.
Peters also got to show off his athleticism in the field. With a runner on first in the top of the third inning, Freddy Galvis tried to drop down a drag bunt to catch him off guard. It stayed in the air, however, and Peters wasted no time on his dive:

"Catch of the Game" indeed.
The play was actually the first putout of Peters' young career, adding a nice little star to his performance. Players aren't usually tested quite like that for their first career putout, but for this rookie, it was no problem at all.
