One Cubs fan brought the spirit of 1908 to Game 3 with a full Teddy Roosevelt costume

As you might have heard somewhere by now, the Cubs haven't won the World Series since 1908. America was a far different place back then: A loaf of bread cost a nickel, Mother's Day was celebrating its first year of existence, Henry Ford had just invented the Model T -- and one Theodore Roosevelt was the trust-busting, cattle-ranching president of the United States.
So, with the Fall Classic finally returning to Wrigley Field for Game 3 against the Indians on Friday night, one Chicago fan decided to conjure the spirit of Cubs championships past and bring Teddy back to the ballpark. But this was no mere costume exercise -- as the Cespedes Family BBQ guys discovered, he was committed to the role, even dropping some knowledge about the Cubs of Teddy's day.
You can catch the whole interview in the clip above, which covers everything from Teddy's thoughts on Kris Bryant to his memories of Mordecai "Three-Finger" Brown. And though the Cubs fell, 1-0, in Game 3, our nation's 26th president ended things with a message to unite us all: "Isn't that something that Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal can agree -- that America would be better off when a World Series championship flag flies above Wrigley Field."
Chicago will hope to use the spirit of Teddy to rally in Game 4 on Saturday night (7:30 p.m. ET air time | 8 ET game time on FOX).
