Elieser Hernandez tripped off the mound, but then got the strikeout to retire the side

Sure, baseball players tend to be stronger, faster, more flexible and have better balance than the average person that sits in a swivel chair for eight hours a day, but every now and then they reveal that they are human just like us.
Making a spot start in Jose Ureña's place on Tuesday night against the D-backs, Marlins starter Elieser Hernandez balked two runners over when the mound's gravitational force field accidentally became too strong.

It was no worry, though: With his opposing starter, Zack Godley, at the plate, Hernandez struck him out swinging to end the inning.

"I just tripped," Hernandez said after the game, admitting that it had happened a few times before in the Minor Leagues. "[My spikes] got caught in the ground."
Of course, right before Hernandez tumbled, Marlins catcher Bryan Holaday had come out for a mound visit. So, bench coach Tim Wallach -- who was filling in for Don Mattingly during his one-game suspension -- admitted he spoke to the catcher about it. "I told Holly, that was a bad mound visit," Wallach said. "He went out right before that, and he tripped."
