Francisco Lindor just wanted to enjoy a nice dinner with his friends, but they couldn't resist their phones

For people like Francisco Lindor, Friday nights in the offseason are usually a fun time to unwind, kick back and relax. All Lindor wanted to do was go out for dinner with a couple of his friends and enjoy their company.
In the year 2019 however, this task is more easily said than done. Smartphones are both a blessing and a curse. It's wonderful that you can look up your favorite Legend of Zelda cut scenes and check out photos of your old college buddy's adorable dog in just a few clicks, no matter where you are. The problem is that it's hard to keep the phone down when you're already hanging out with other people.
This was Lindor's problem on Friday ... and he shared it with the world via an Instagram story, making sure to call out Gio Urshela in particular:

Tough crowd.
Here's how we imagine the scene played out shortly before Lindor's recording.
"See that phone?"

"If you don't put it down, I will dump it in your glass of water!"
Don't mind them, Lindor. We'll join you for a phones-free meal any time you want.
