Things must really be going Jose Altuve's way, because he walked on ball three

Things are really going Jose Altuve's way right now. He's batting .319/.409/.664 to start the year, his nine home runs are already second most in his career, and he's more than halfway to last year's career high of 15. But, perhaps more impressive than his power surge: His ability to draw a walk on ball three.

Carefully watch Altuve's at-bat in the seventh inning of Friday's 6-3 Astros win over the Mariners. After two strikes and a foul, he took three straight balls, at which point he started off for first base ... and nobody stopped him. His walk was undisputed and three batters later, he came around to score.
The mishap was discovered by the Astros broadcast team during Saturday's game, but at that point it was too late. It was 24 hours later, and Altuve had gotten away with it.
Hey, when you're hot, you're hot. Just ask Joey Votto.
