Matt Chapman hurdled Gatorade jugs and landed in the dugout after a great running catch

In Matt Chapman, the A's hope they have a third baseman they'll be able to rely on for years to come -- and judging by what he's done so far this weekend, he's on the right track.
In the A's 6-5 win over the Twins on Sunday, the 24-year-old hit a game-tying two-run double in the bottom of the eighth after a lengthy at-bat that saw him foul off several pitches. In the top of the ninth, he retired Max Kepler with this heads-up display:

Then, after the game headed to extra innings, he ranged over toward the A's dugout pursuing a popup, saw the Gatorade jugs getting closer and closer, and ... just hurdled them like it was no big deal:

And all of this came two days after Chapman speared a hard grounder from Miguel Sanó and turned it into a slick 5-4-3 double play, too.'s Alex Simon spoke to Chapman after the game:
"I was aware that they were coming up and I kind of just planned in my head that, 'Well, I either barrel into them or jump over them. I went with jumping over them."
Manager Bob Melvin also weighed in on the moment:
"I don't know how Chapman got over the coolers and under the dugout, but he said he knew, once he got close, what he was going to do. Pretty athletic kid."
Have a weekend, Chapman.
