"Don't lie down on the job," they say, no matter what your job is or who "they" are. It's a colloquial phrase tied to the concept that taking a break or relaxing a bit while on-task prevents you from carrying out said task.
That's not entirely true, though. 
In Wednesday's game between the Omaha Storm Chasers (the Royals' Triple-A affiliate) and the New Orleans Baby Cakes (the Marlins' Triple-A affiliate), Omaha first baseman Frank Schwindel proved that yes, you can "lie down on the job" and get things done, thank you very much:
