Noah Syndergaard hits two homers, pitches gem, pretty much beats Dodgers all by himself

No, Noah Syndergaard didn't clone himself a la Ken Griffey Jr. and beat the Dodgers all by himself during the Mets' 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday. But, he did come very close.
The Mets right-hander pitched eight innings -- striking out six, walking one and giving up just two earned runs. It was his longest outing of the season and in the first inning, he threw his hardest pitch of the year at a Statcast-calculated 101.4 mph. He also retired 11 straight Dodgers at one point.
But it was on the offensive side of the ball where Thor became ...

And then, after giving up two runs, he felt bad and decided to give his team back three more runs with a three-run shot in the fifth:

Oh, and if his bat weren't faster than a bolt of lightning on the summits of Mt. Doom, he would've come close to a grand slam in the sixth:

Syndergaard became just the second Mets pitcher to hit two dingers in one game and the first in the bigs since Micah Owings in 2007. He's also the first Metropolitan starter to have at least one long ball in a game since Bartolo Colon. THAT deserves the Hollywood treatment:
