These haikus will help your favorite team decide if they should buy or sell

We've already seen some trade deadline drama in the last few days, with J.D. Martinez going to Arizona and Todd Frazier heading to NYC. But there are still a bunch of contenders out there with needs and non-contenders looking to build for the future. The non-waiver deadline can be a whirlwind for us confuzzled fans, with so much going on every day. To help keep track of it all, we made this chart to visualize which teams are in the best position to buy and sell before 4 p.m. ET on July 31. (Click the chart to enlarge.)
chart
We'll let the chart do most of the talking, but here's a brief overview of each team's deadline situation -- in haiku form, for brevity's sake.
Buyers
Dodgers:
Best team in baseball
What do they still need? Pitching?
Sonny Gray, perhaps?

Astros:
Correa is hurt
Do they need to replace him?
More focused on arms.
Nationals:
Got some bullpen help
Still need some more bullpen help
Hand? Neshek? Or Wilson?
Rockies:
Rookie rotation
Might need another catcher
and a setup guy
D-backs:

Traded for J.D.
Bullpen great besides Rodney
Could trade for some help.
Red Sox:
Yankees got Frazier
Sox still need a third baseman
Not much out there, though.
Brewers:
Surprise! They're in first.
Who can help them top the Cubs?
A pitcher, to start.
Indians:
Tribe needs a backstop
Is Avila the answer?
Maybe Welington?
Wild card limbo
Rays:
With Kiermaier hurt,
Rays could use an outfield bat.
The Melkman Cometh?
Yankees:

They made one big trade:
Frazier, Kahnle, Robertson.
Another move soon?
Royals:
Big decisions soon
Moose, Hosmer, Cain could be gone
Go for it, or sell?
Twins:
They're still in the race,
But are they contenders now?
Unlikely. We'll see.
Cubs:

Quintana on board
Maybe room for some big names?
Theo still looking.
Mariners:
Jerry Dipoto
Got Phelps, but that can't be it.
What else will he do?
Rangers:
Frustrating year so far
Not sure which way to go yet
Could they trade Darvish?
Angels:
Mike Trout is back! Yay!
Need arms for a playoff run
Unless Trout can pitch...

Pirates:
They're not out of it,
but probably shouldn't buy.
Best off standing pat.
Cardinals:
This team's perplexing,
Reinforcements in the pen?
Cozart at shortstop?
Orioles:

Buy or sell or chill?
Machado won't go, but 'pen?
Could rebuild the farm.
Sellers
Blue Jays:
Disappointing year
The AL East is no fun
When you're not that good.
Braves:
They're hanging around
But not contenders quite yet.
Jaime likely gone.

Mets:
This season's a wash;
maybe trade Bruce, Granderson.
Need healthy players.
Marlins:
Not in a great spot
But Giancarlo Stanton
Is healthy and good
Padres:
Brad Hand Brad Hand Brad
Hand Brad Hand Brad Hand Brad Hand
Brad Hand Brad Hand Brad
Reds:

Cozart and donkey
Can Reds trade both for prospects?
Donkey too beloved?
White Sox:
Trades equal great farm.
Do they have big leaguers left?
Melk, yes. Abreu?
Athletics:
Bullpen left barren.
Will the green and gold trade Gray?
Where does Yonder go?
Tigers:
Happy trails, J.D.
Justin Wilson likely next
Tigers rebuilding.

Giants:
Rough year near the Bay
Not a ton to trade either
Cueto? Shark? Maybe.
Phillies:
They've got one big piece,
and his name is Pat Neshek.
Where is he headed?
