Dear Friends,
Recent national events compel us to reach out to our Giants Community Fund family.
We strongly condemn the violence that occurred at the Capitol Building on January 6th and those who supported the efforts to harm our nation’s democratic values. These actions run counter to the fundamental principles that we teach our Junior Giants and to the work we do in our communities.
As the independent public non-profit that partners with the San Francisco Giants, we recognize that our role as a Community Fund comes with great responsibility. When we see things in our country that test us, our response is to unite in unwavering support of our purpose: to help youth and families in underserved regions and to foster leaders of tomorrow to be positive forces in our communities. We will always stand against words and acts that in any way would thwart that purpose or mislead, misinform or demean those we seek to assist and serve.
It is an honor to serve as co-chairs and to represent the tremendous staff and our fellow board members in this work. We all recognize that none of this is possible without the support of this community and we sincerely thank you for that.
