Bazzana split the season between Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus...2025 campaign limited to just 77 games due to a pair of oblique injuries…Despite his injuries, he combined to post a .245 (74-for-302) batting average with 17 doubles, nine home runs, 39 RBI and an .813 OPS…Suffered a right oblique strain on May 14 that kept him sidelined until July 18…His season ended early after he sustained a left oblique injury on Sept. 13...Around his first IL stint and rehab with the ACL Guardians, he reached in 15 straight games at AA Akron (5/2-7/23) and was promoted to AAA Columbus on Aug. 11...Went on to record a .225 (20-for-89) batting average with four home runs, 14 RBI and an .858 OPS across 26 games for the Clippers prior to his second oblique strain...All 99 of his starts in the field since turning pro have come at second base.
2024
Became Cleveland’s first ever selection at No. 1 and the first Australian-born player to be selected with the first pick in MLB Draft history…Following his selection, he joined High-A Lake County on 7/26, hitting .238 (24-for-101) with seven 2B, three HR, 12 RBI and a .765 OPS over 27 games, helping the club capture the 2024 Midwest League Title...Prior to being drafted, Bazzana enjoyed his best season with Oregon State University in 2024 slashing .407/.568/.911 with 28 home runs and a 1.479 OPS in 60 games…Set Oregon State single-season record with 84 runs scored, 28 home runs and a .911 slugging percentage…The Pac-12 Player of the Year ranked second among NCAA Division I players in walks (76), tied for seventh in home runs and eighth in batting average...Was a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award and was tabbed as a first-team All-American by Baseball America, Perfect Game, ABCA, NCBWA and D1Baseball.com.
