Frequently Asked QuestionsWhen should I arrive, and where do I enter?
Guests that purchased Batting Practice Experience tickets should report to the North Ticket Office (Will Call Window 1) three (3) hours prior to first pitch to pick up their credentials. After collecting Batting Practice Experience credentials, Guests should enter the ballpark via Media Entrance. The Media Entrance is located on the West Plaza and can be accessed using Gate 1. Access will typically close 50 minutes prior to first pitch but may close earlier without advance notice.
Where should I park?
Guests are encouraged to park in Third Base Garage located at 1402 NW 7th St. You may pre-pay using our website or pay on-site using the PayByPhone app. Visit http://www.marlins.com/parking for more info.
Where does the Batting Practice Experience take place?
Guests who have purchased the Batting Practice Experience will be permitted access to a designated area on the warning track behind home plate.
Can I purchase this experience on gameday?
If the Batting Practice Experience is not sold out in advance, day of game Batting Practice Experience tickets can be purchased here or at the North Ticket Office.
How old do I need to be to participate in the Batting Practice Experience?
Fans of all ages are welcomed and encouraged to participate. Any guests under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by at least one adult or guardian with their own paid Batting Practice Experience ticket. Everyone attending batting practice must have a paid Batting Practice Experience ticket in addition to a game ticket.
How old does a child have to be to need a ticket for this experience?
In accordance with our ticketing policy, children 36 months and older will need a ticket to this experience.
Can my family and friends watch me while I am at Batting Practice?
Due to the exclusivity of this experience, only guests who purchased the Batting Practice Experience tickets will be given early ballpark access. General gates typically open 90 minutes prior to first pitch, and any family and friend with game tickets may enter at that time.
Can you accommodate guests with disabilities?
Of course. Please make our staff aware of your needs when you arrive to Media Entrance.
What happens if a team elects not to take batting practice?
Teams reserve the right to cancel scheduled batting practice, sometimes without advance notice. Even if the Marlins do not take batting practice, we will allow Batting Practice Experience ticket holders onto the field during pregame workouts. Ticket holders will only be eligible for refund if both teams elect not to take batting practice. Please contact Marlins Ticket Sales at 305-480-2525 with any claims or ticketing issues.
Do I need a game ticket to participate in this experience?
Every guest will need both a game ticket and a Batting Practice Experience ticket in order to enter loanDepot park.
Can I request autographs during the Batting Practice Experience?
We ask all Batting Practice Experience participants to refrain from requesting autographs. Autographs may be offered at the player’s and coaches' discretion.
Can I take pictures during the Batting Practice Experience?
Of course. Please feel free to take pictures while enjoying this experience and tag @marlins @loanDepotpark.
How much time will I be able to spend on-field, and will I be able to see both teams take batting practice?
Guests with Batting Practice Experience tickets will be permitted to watch both teams take batting practice, an experience that will last up to two (2) hours. During an average experience, guests will catch between 40-50 minutes of Marlins batting practice, as well as 40-50 minutes of Visitors batting practice.
What should I bring with me to the Batting Practice Experience?
All items welcomed inside the gates at loanDepot park are also welcomed on-field during this experience. Guests ARE NOT permitted to bring full-size baseball bats, helmets, framed photos and other prohibited items for the intent of receiving autographs. Is there anything else required before I begin the experience?
Guests are provided a safe and comfortable area on-field to watch Batting Practice. However, the Miami Marlins will require all Batting Practice Experience ticket holders to sign a liability waiver prior to attending. Guests may complete the waiver in advance at marlins.com/waiver. Any Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.
Can I exchange my ticket with other members of my family and friends during batting practice so they can experience it as well?
Once you have entered, Batting Practice Experience tickets are non-transferable. Tickets may be used by only one person per visit.
Other Items of Note:
Food & beverage are not allowed within the Batting Practice Experience area. Guests should refrain from sitting or placing items on any wall padding while on-field.
