Missed the entire regular season in recovery from “Tommy John” surgery...Was placed on the 15-day IL on March 28 with right elbow inflammation and transferred to the 60-day on April 4. Underwent surgery on April 8...Pitched to a 3.38 ERA (3 ER/8.0 IP) in four starts during Spring Training, with three walks and 11 strikeouts. Went 1-1...Lasted just 0.1 inning in his final Spring outing on March 13 vs. WSH. Walked two batters and struck out one before exiting due to discomfort with his right middle fingernail.
