Split the season between AA Akron and AAA Columbus… Led the system in strikeouts (177) and was tied for second in wins (nine) and innings (132.2)…177 SO were third-most in all of Minor League Baseball…Started the year at AA Akron before June 29 promotion to Columbus…At the time of his promotion to Triple-A he was leading the Eastern League in strikeouts (104) and was 2nd in ERA (3.33) and batting average against (.216)... Was named Eastern League pitcher of the month for June, going 3-0 with a 1.75 ERA in four starts (25.2IP, 9H, 5R/ER, 39SO) and earned pitcher of the week honors for the week of June 19 after 6.0 shutout innings, two-hit performance at Hartford on June 16 (11K)...
