NCAA Regionals feature 85 Top 200 Draft prospects -- here's a complete rundown

May 28th, 2025

The field for the 2025 NCAA Tournament is set and once again teeming with top Draft prospects.

In all, 85 of the 112 four-year college players from the Draft Top 200 rankings -- more than 75 percent -- will take part in the tournament, including 11 of the top 12 college prospects.

Tournament play will begin with the double-elimination Regionals from May 30-June 2. The winner of each Regional will head to the best-of-3 Super Regionals the following weekend before the Men's College World Series takes place from June 13-22.

Eight national seeds will play host for the Regionals (and Super Regionals, if they advance), and each has at least one ranked 2025 Draft prospect: No. 1 Vanderbilt, No. 2 Texas, No. 3 Arkansas, No. 4 Auburn, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 6 Louisiana State, No. 7 Georgia and No. 8 Oregon State.

Notably, the Southeastern Conference is dominating the NCAA Tournament field. Not only does the conference have six of the eight national seeds, including each of the top four, but it also is sending a record 13 teams to the tourney -- thanks in part to Oklahoma and Texas growing the conference to 16 teams.

Those 13 SEC teams have accounted for nearly half (40) of the 85 players ranked on the Draft Top 200. Reigning champion Tennessee has by far the most Draft prospects in the field with eight, two of whom (southpaw Liam Doyle and second baseman Gavin Kilen) rank in the top 20. Fellow SEC team Louisiana State has the second-most ranked prospects (six), while Arkansas is tied with Florida State for third (five) and Texas has four, along with Oregon State and UC Irvine.
