Danny Jansen made an awkwardly athletic recovery after losing the ball in the sun

The sun has many virtues. It provides light that allows us to see the world around us. It helps plants grow and makes the entire concept of agriculture possible. Its light can be transformed into energy to power all your household appliances.

For all the good it does, sometimes the sun just seems to get in the way. During Sunday's game against the D-backs, Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen probably forgot about the sun's many selling points when he was forced to stare right into it to field a popup. No one knew where it was, least of all the catcher.

After stumbling around in blindness, he found the ball just in the nick of time.

After watching Jansen's absurd and surprisingly effective display, pitcher Clayton Richard couldn't help but let out a bit of a laugh. The sun may have been a nuisance, but at least it provided some laughs.
