Manny Machado reminded everybody why he's one of best with a mind-bending throw from foul territory
Manny Machado is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, and he's more than earned those accolades. For years, the infielder has dazzled at third base, making otherworldly defensive plays look like nothing more than routine exercises in "the usual."
But what he did in the eighth inning of the Padres' 2-1 win over the D-backs on Friday night was definitely not anything ordinary. No, most players probably can't pull off flick-of-the-wrist throws across the diamond from deep in foul territory like Machado can:
We've watched this play 73 times (and counting) and it's still the most ridiculous thing we've ever seen. pic.twitter.com/BUFtVTfeUI— Cut4 (@Cut4) April 13, 2019
That's not normal. Manny isn't normal. And that's why he's one of the best around.
