Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month

The Cleveland Guardians are excited to celebrate and honor Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Throughout the month of May, the Guardians will celebrate and uplift the AAPI community in Cleveland by participating in local activities, culminating in our fourth annual AAPI Celebration presented by Nestlé at Progressive Field on Tuesday, May 12.

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure everyone has a chance to be part our game, the Guardians work in partnership with local community organizations to provide learning and education to our staff and teammates throughout the entire year. We know that jewel events like AAPI Night allow us to intentionally spotlight the collective stories of hope, struggle, and opportunity that make our city and team better.

Tuesday, May 12 – AAPI Celebration presented by Nestlé

Join the Guardians for a night of educational and inclusive experiences celebrating all fans.

• Ceremonial First Pitches by Spencer Fano, Cleveland Browns First Round Draft Pick, and Alex Sheen, inspirational speaker and author of Because I Said I Would
• National Anthem performance by Local Artist Reeda El-Hayek
• Game ball delivery from Lillian Kuri, President & CEO of the Cleveland Foundation
• On-field celebration recognizing the Cleveland Asian Festival
• Pregame Performances by the Kwan Family Lion Dancers, Ohio Samul Nori and Cleveland Bollywood
• Appearances by the Cleveland Asian Festival mascots
• AAPI Community Resource Fair behind the SeatGeek Infield Lounge (5:00 p.m. – 7:10 p.m.)
• Special fan giveaways from the Cleveland Strikers
• In-game content highlighting AAPI resources on the scoreboard

Fans can upgrade their experience by purchasing a Special Ticket Package for the May 12 game! The Special Ticket Package includes:

• Game ticket in the Lower Box our Upper Box Outfield sections

• NEW FOR 2026: “Party in the Pennant District” event with unlimited food & Pepsi products, exclusive giveaways, live entertainment and a welcoming space to connect with your community *Menu includes hot dogs, nachos, soft pretzels, Pepsi products and a special dessert

A limited number of Special Ticket Packages will be available for day-of-game upgrades; please visit the redemption table in the Left Field District to upgrade your tickets. Upgrades are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Day-of-game upgrades do not include Paul Davis Pennant District event access.

Saturday, May 16 & Sunday, May 17 – Cleveland Asian Festival

The Cleveland Asian Festival is a grassroots festival that highlights Cleveland’s AsiaTown and Asian Culture in Northeast Ohio.

The Guardians are a proud sponsor of the Cleveland Asian Festival and will have a booth at the festival with games, giveaways, mascot appearances, and more.

Cleveland Guardians social platform, CLE Inspires, will highlight different AAPI initiatives throughout the month of May. CLE Inspires will focus on the work done by our community partners.
