GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The Guardians' home opener date was forced to change, but the team is making sure anyone who’s able to make the team’s first home game is rewarded.
Tickets for the new home opener on April 15 at 7:10 p.m. ET against the Giants will go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can only purchase tickets online at CLEGuardians.com/tickets.
And now we can get to the team’s special offer. Cleveland announced Wednesday morning that all fans who purchase tickets to the new home opener will receive a complimentary ticket to any April or May home game (subject to availability). Any fan who already had tickets to the game on April 15 will also be eligible for the giveaway.
The Guardians are partnering with Progressive to be able to make this special offer come to fruition. The giveaway is a one-for-one offer, meaning if a person purchases four tickets for the home opener, that fan will receive four free tickets to redeem to one additional April or May home game. All complimentary tickets handed out will be for upper reserved seats.
The matchup against the Giants will be just the fourth time overall and the first since 1995 that Cleveland is able to open its home season under the lights with fans in the ballpark (2020’s shortened season was a night game in July). And it will be the first time the team has ever hosted a National League team in a home opener.
