CLEVELAND -- On Thursday, the Guardians unveiled player development changes throughout the organization’s Minor League system. The new alignment includes just two managerial changes, both in the lower levels. Omir Santos will now head Low-A Lynchburg, and Jordan Smith will step in as manager for the Arizona Complex League.

Santos, promoted from the Dominican Summer League Red club, has been in the organization since 2016 following his 12-year professional career. Smith played for Cleveland from 2011-17.

Only a handful of changes were made to the coaching staffs in the higher levels of the farm system. Andy Tracy is back to manage Triple-A Columbus with the additions of Kyle Lindquist (bench coach), Cody Buckel (pitching strategist) and Trent Kaltenbach (strength and conditioning) to the coaching staff. Rouglas Odor, skipper of Double-A Akron, has just one new face on his staff: Mike Mergenthaler, the club’s assistant hitting coach.
