Robinson Cano and Josh Hamilton each hit four home runs in this series, as Cano led the Yankees with five RBIs and Hamilton recorded a series-high seven. Two of Hamilton's home runs came in a 10-3 Game 4 blowout win.

Cliff Lee and Colby Lewis were dynamite in the Texas rotation, combining for three wins in as many starts. Lee threw eight innings of scoreless ball in Game 3 and Lewis scattered three earned runs over 13 2/3 innings in Game 2 and Game 6 wins.
