Top 5 things you won't want to miss at MLB World Tour: London Series 2024

February 28th, 2024

Winter is over, summer is on its way. What better way to spend your weekend than taking in some baseball at the MLB World Tour: London Series.

Today marks 100 days until the opening pitch of MLB’s summer series in London where the New York Mets will take on the Philadelphia Phillies. British fans will get the chance to see world-class athletes like Pete Alonso and Bryce Harper go head-to-head in this fierce east coast rivalry.

However, there isn’t just elite sport on offer. Check out our rundown below of the best things you can see or do when you visit us at London Stadium in June.

1. THE ROVING ENTERTAINERS

There will be a feast for your eyes everywhere you turn at the London Series in June. From juggling acts to stilt walkers, we’ll have entertainers for all the family all the way round the stadium.

The Bouncing B-Boys will be causing havoc, rolling around in their enormous high tops and bringing out the funk on their boombox -- if you ask nicely they might teach you their secret handshake.

Make sure you keep an eye out for our world-famous giant mascots as you make your way to your seats. There will be icons from British history including Freddie Mercury, Winston Churchill and Henry VIII because why not?

Who knows, we may even see the return of Nessie who was mysteriously missing in 2023…

2. BRING THE NOISE

MLB World Tour: London Series won’t just be a treat for your eyes, your ears will have the best time too. We are going to get the party going with help from DJ Jamie Anne who is famous around the UK for performing at headline sporting events. You can usually find Jamie on the decks at Manchester City where she is the resident stadium DJ.

MC Cai Sherlock will be in his element making his way round the concourse to chat to fans and get everyone hyped for the games -- if you see him say hello!

We’ll be bringing the sounds from the US over to London shores with three big bands who will be bringing the noise to the stadium. Keep an eye out for Fat Brass, Drumline and The Fan Fortress Band. If you don’t see them, you’ll definitely hear them.

3. THE BATTING CAGE

Ready to swap your cover drives for a home run? Think you can match the world class batting skills of your favourite pro?

Whether you are a seasoned pro or first-time hitter, step up to the plate and feel the real American ballpark experience in the batting cages.

Come down and knock it out of the park!

4. THE PITCHING TUNNEL

You might be able to tackle the batting cages, but can you pitch like a pro?

The Pitching Tunnel will give you the chance to test your arm -- are you up to the challenge? Take on your mates to see who can clock the fastest pitch on the speed gun!

As all the best pitchers know it’s not just about your speed, it’s about how accurate you are too. Can you hit the red strike zone three times to take home the bragging rights?

5. FAN ZONES & BARS

Whether you’ll be supporting the Mets or the Phillies at MLB World Tour: London Series, we’ve got you covered.

If you love the Mets, make sure you head down to the Amazin’ Alehouse in the Mets Fan Zone where you can kick back and relax with a hot dog, beer and chat to other like-minded fans.

For followers of the Phillies, the Liberty Bell Bar in the Phillies Fan Zone is the place to be. Named after the iconic bell found in Philadelphia, come on down to get yourself ready for the big game.

Whether you are on Team Mets, Team Phillies or a neutral, the Bleacher Bar is not to be missed where our resident DJ Jamie Anne will be ensuring a party atmosphere with a set list inspired by New York and Philadelphia artists.

There’s still time to secure your seat at the ballpark. Head to Ticketmaster to buy your tickets now!
