Adeiny Hechavarría didn't play in the Majors in 2021, but that hasn't prevented him from hitting mammoth home runs elsewhere and gifting us some commensurate bat flips as a cherry on top.
He did just that for Nippon Professional Baseball's Chiba Lotte Marines on Saturday, blasting a shot into the upper deck against Rakuten at Zozo Marine Stadium. His bat flip got some real hangtime -- about two full seconds worth -- and was a delightful touch of flourish to punctuate the massive homer.
An old teammate of mine Adeiny Hechavarría out there in Japan living his best life 🤭🤩 pic.twitter.com/5dMWaKV3pp
Hechavarría spent nine seasons in the Majors as an infielder for the Blue Jays, Marlins, Rays, Pirates, Yankees, Braves and Mets from 2012-20. We knew he was a bat-flip connoisseur after seeing his past work, and we're glad he's still adding to his already impressive highlight reel.
